Project Details: The Dalit Solidarity has developed a school bridge program for students.This bridge program gave children the tools they need to succeed in high school and society. In June 2009, we have 41 children in 6th and 7th grade. We have 20 boys and 21 girls.

Education / Food for the school systems - The Diocese of Cuddapah

Project Details: Empowerment of rural poor students through education is the mission Diocese of Cuddapah, India. The Diocese has various schools in very remote villages where there were no schools for the poorest of the poor. Today they have seven high schools, eleven upper primary schools, and twenty-five elementary schools along with twenty-six boarding homes to help educate the very poor children. There are 3000 students and 246 teachers.. of these only 88 are paid by the Government and the rest, 128 are paid by the Diocese.

Home For Child Trafficking Victims

Year: 2012

Project Details: Forever Found is a nonprofit Christian organization whose chief goal is to raise support for the rescue and restoration of children from sex trafficking. Five aftercare homes are supported to accept and provide for these children. The India home provides for the needs of 1, 256 children and seeks to  raise enough money to rescue hundreds more that are being trafficked and enslaved in Andrhra Pradesh alone.  The Loya Foundation provided funds to build a safety house to educate 600 children. 

Construction Of Chapel In Central Jail - Diocese of Cuddapah

Project: This donation went towards finishing the construction of an ecumenical Chapel in the Central jail for 300 men prisoners and 100 women prisoners. They Chapel will offer the inmates some much needed and cherished sacred space for prayer and meditation. 

Education / Nutrition For Children Of St. Patrick's Home

Project Details: Dalit Solidarity, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt and charitable organization under 501(c)(3) in the USA. The founder and director of this organization is Rev. Benjamin Chinnappan, a priest of India. This donation went towards the boys and girls of St. Patricks home in India. St. Patrick Home offers children programs to pursue their studies and complete schooling.

Project: Donation for food for 1,260 children in 10 boarding homes for boys and 10 boarding homes for girls under the care of Bishop Prasad Gallela, Bishop of Cuddapah. The donation helped supply food for children for 1 month.

Project: Donation of clothing for boys and girls under the care of Bishop Prasad Gallela, Bishop of Cuddapah. This donation gave the children in these boarding homes a Christmas present of new clothing.

Projects Details: Children in fourteen boarding homes were gifted with new clothing for Christmas. One dress for a girl would cost 500 rupees and one dress for a boy costs 400 rupees. We were able to provide clothing for all the boys and girls on Christmas.

Projects Details: A donation was given to the Diocese of Cuddapah as a "Santa Claus" gift to provide new clothing and food for 552 boys and 610 girls, total of 15 boarding homes for children. 

Water Sanitation & Hygiene Community Project

Year: 2017

Project Details: Finance the digging of a 400 foot Bore well, the purchase of a submersible motor pump, necessary plumbing, electricity and a small shed for water sanitation and hygiene for St. John’s Minor Seminary Pinakadimi.  This area currently suffers from fluctuations in electrical service. This project funded an adequate water supply and a more reliable electrical system, providing basic amenities to the seminarians who are being trained for evangelization in the area.

Project Details:

This project is to help the Dalit adolescent girls (formally known known as the “untouchables”). Talitha cum is part of the Mission of the R.C. Diocese of Vijayawada to proclaim good news to the poor and to liberate the socially marginalized.  Together with many pastoral programs, the Diocese concentrates on educating the young.
